Boomtown

Tracks the life of a small Tasmanian mining community as it battles against the odds to stage a musical play. When the local tin mine closed down half the population of Zeehan moved on. Those who remain try to recapture the community spirit of days past. The play brings together an unlikely collection of local characters, led by Kevin Atkinson - an unemployed timber worker who secures a grant to stage the play and street parade and to erect a timber sculpture he's designed.
