Synopsis

Discussions about the reacquisition of Hong Kong by the Chinese Government on June 30, 1997, often overlook what it means to young people, how they view themselves and their future. In the visual language of youth culture, this film looks at the lives of two very different Hong Kong youth, who will live through the June 30 changeover. Co-director Rachel Potter's own Anglo-HK-Australian heritage raises broader issues of identity and displacement in a constantly changing world.
