Synopsis
While most people half her age, are still in bed before the sun comes up, Emmie Wehr is down at the horse stables at Pioneer Park in Alice Springs. Now in her late 70’s, Emmie Wehr is Alice Springs longest serving licensed horse trainer. She is also this country’s first Aboriginal female horse trainer. Emmie Wehr went into the history books when she won the Northern Territory Keno Handicap on Alice Springs Cup Day in 2010 at the age of 72 with Musketeer.
