First Fleet Rite of Passage

The film is the only official record of the First Fleet Reenactment Voyage which left Portsmouth on 13 May 1987 and arrived to the spectacular finale on Sydney Harbour on 26 Jan 1988. It was the largest multi-national group of square riggers ever to sail together in peacetime on the same epic journey as undertaken by the founders of European civilisation in Australia. The reenactment is now part of Australia's history.
