HATE CRIME is a documentary on gay bashing that looks at the motivation of 'poofter bashers', as well as the varying opinions and stark facts that pervade the issue of gay bashing. The dramatisation is a simple yet effective means of introducing the two main points that HATE CRIME addresses, the motivation of the attackers, and the reaction from the gay community, already hard hit by the devastation of AIDS.
