Synopsis
HEART OF DARKNESS is a multi-screen audio-visual film and an allegory to Joseph Conrad's scenario set against the present day control of society by ultra-capitalist ideology. Using Conrad's novella, Orson Welles' scripts and 1943 radio broadcast, original and found video and still imagery and audio, my project traces a history of social domination by minority elites and is a filmic essay on present day ultra-capitalism, multi-national corporations and the neo-colonisation termed globalization.
