Hunter and the Fisherman, The

A parable on the nature of human relationships - competition and rivalry, friendship and loyalty. The film opens and closes with the Hunter walking the endless trail. Separately he encounters the Fisherman and the Maiden, developing an intense fixation on the latter. This obsession drives him to kill the Fisherman in jealous rage, and turn his feeling for the Maiden to blame, then finally guilt.
