Synopsis
The conceit of the film is to embody the difficulty of cultural translation and migration in the problems of making a photo book on Italians in Australia. Counterpointing written text over image - luminous household interiors and backyards, epiphanies of domestic life - and alternating fictional and documentary voiceover to dialogue, the film ironically comments on cliches of Italianness and says a nostalgic goodbye to nostalgia.
