Kempsey Ball

An Elders’ Debutante Ball is being held in Kempsey! The 'debutantes' are aged 42 to 84 and are being partnered by husbands, sons and grandsons – the youngest is 13. This story will give us the opportunity to reflect on the lives of some of these extraordinary women and to delve into universal themes of ageing, family and community. It is also a chance to positively portray elders as active, social people who like having fun within their community.
