In 1977 five counterculture art students in Sydney form a cover band for fun. But when a new record label signs them, Mental As Anything seize their moment and unleash an astonishing run of classic pop hits, combining maverick artwork and video clips celebrating and satirising Australian suburbia. Their ingenuity, humour and lack of pretension sees them embraced by middle Australia.
