A second series involving 15-year-old Daniel McFarlane, who travels to New Zealand to meet his father, his step-mother, step-brother and step-sister, for the first time - all who are not interested in meeting Daniel. Daniel becomes entangled with his new family because of an old mirror found in the attic. This mirror has mysterious qualities which enable the children to travel back to the goldfields of the 1860s. But, of course, there is always a catch to time travel...
