Orchids

ORCHIDS is an autobiographical documentary by filmmaker Phoebe Hart, as she embarks on a voyage of discovery to explore her own life story, and the struggles of people living with an intersex (hermaphroditic) condition in Australia. Some are devoted to systemic change and the end of shame and unwanted genital surgeries, while others are dealing with the issues of coming out or living with a highly stigmatised secret. ORCHIDS delves into the traumatic yet life-affirming experiences of extraordinary intersexed individuals, and their partners, families and friends.
