Synopsis
This documentary looks at a number of international AIDS programs - in the USA, where the hi-tech approach to medicine is out of reach of most of those who need it; in Thailand, where the entire population is under threat; and in Australia, where there has been some success in containing the disease. Those taking part include US scientist Dr. Nancy Klimas, who is developing a new treatment which will cost $45,000 per patient; Sydney's Annie Crowe, a pioneer of health services for street kids; and Australian doctor Alex Wodak, who fought to introduce a 'harm reduction' policy to the fight against AIDS.
