Shirley Thompson Versus the Aliens

The plot involves a 1950s 'widgie' visited by aliens warning of impending global catastrophe. The film charts her attempts to convince friends, family, governments and, finally, psychiatrists, of her extravagant claims. A wild mix of art movie techniques, B-picture plot and 1950s kitsch decor have earned it cult status.
