Laura is a successful lawyer on the cusp of promotion - a far cry from her childhood growing up on a tropical island with friends Chip and Gem. When Chip’s grandfather asks her to travel to the island and deliver a contract to make Chip his heir, she leaves behind her practice and fiancé Owen to convince her childhood best friend to sign a contract that will make him a billionaire. The chemistry between Chip and Laura is immediate. Though she’s a work-obsessed lawyer and he’s an island layabout, it’s just like old times.
