Synopsis
TRIBAL VOICE is the first film to capture the phenomenon that is Yothu Yindi, the only predominantly Aboriginal band to make its mark on the international music scene. It provides valuable insights into Yolngu (north-east Arnhem Land Aboriginal) culture, kinship systems, ceremonial activities and lifestyle practices. It also embraces all aspects of lead singer Mandawuy Yunupingu's extraordinary life as a leader, university graduate, school principal, rock star, ambassador, philosopher and family man.
