Vindication

A drama based on the short story by the existentialist Russian author Daniil Kharms. It is the story of one man who in his own mind has committed no crime and has done nothing, purposefully, to harm another person. However, the deeds and events he describes are far from innocent by general standards. Gut-churning descriptions of past acts are recalled in a chilling monologue as he grooms himself to mirrored perfection. It is when he is finally dressed that the importance of his attitude and his position are finally and significantly registered.
