Synopsis
A series of wildlife programs looking at some of the fascinating creatures with whom man shares the land and the waterways. From colonies of fairy penguins on a solitary island to creatures of the concrete jungles of the city; to one of Australia's loveliest regions, Gippsland, where we find a complex network of life and feature a rare glimpse of the family life of Australia's laughing bird, the kookaburra; to the marvels of bushland just one hour from the bustling centre of Sydney; and a look at making restitution for suffering man has inflicted on wild creatures, including the efforts to rescue the bilby, once abundant in the central desert, now threatened with extinction.
