Trees At The Crossing
In TREES AT THE CROSSING we take a journey with two escapees from the destructive force of development. The experience of two characters, mother and child trees, is used to show the way in which environmental destruction is embedded in our culutral mores and subsequently transferred between generations. The concluding prophetic image reminds us that there are both known and unknown consequences of our so called 'development'. The interaction between human and sculptured characters, made possible through the use of photographic 'animation', enable us to both experience and directly relate to the plight of these trees
