Casimir Dickson

Casimir Dickson

Ever since Casimir Dickson can remember, he has wanted to be a filmmaker. During high school, he made two student films, both were accepted into Art Express, which showcased exemplary artworks around Australia. In 1994, he started working at Omincon, first as a tape operator, then resident camera assistant in the production department. Casimir transitioned into freelance work as a clapper loader—working on documentaries, corporate videos, films, commercials and music videos. Casimir then moved into the role of first assistant camera (AC), and worked on various projects both locally and internationally. After 12 years as an AC, he was lucky enough to be asked to shoot a feature film, ‘Pros and Ex-Cons’. He has subsequently continued working as a cinematographer, with over 40 credits on IMDb.
