Kate Cornish

Kate Cornish is an award-winning cinematographer from Sydney, working across the narrative, documentary and music video spaces. Kate is passionate about authentic queer representation in her storytelling and her work has been featured on Australian television and festivals. Kate made her mark shooting comedy, including SBS show ‘The Feed’. Recently, she served as DOP on the Channel 7 sketch show ‘We Interrupt This Broadcast’. She was recipient of the Screen Australia Credit Maker Initiative, which secured her a role shooting the anthology series, ‘Erotic Stories’ (SBS). Kate was named Canon Australia Ambassador in 2021, and subsequently received a grant to make the film ‘Dykes on Bikes’, which was awarded a Silver by the Australian Cinematographers Society (Documentary) in 2022. In 2023, she was named by Inside Film as a Rising Talent in Cinematography.
