Kathy Drayton

Kathy Drayton is a long-time film and video editor and occasional director. She learned to shoot helping Imogen Jones, aka Lupa J, make her early music videos. This became the foundation for their on-camera relationship in ‘The Weather Diaries’, a micro-budget feature documentary produced as the major component of her doctoral project for UTS. Previously Kathy wrote and directed the award-winning ‘Girl in a Mirror: A Portrait of Carol Jerrems’ (Rouben Mamoulian Award & Best Doco SFF 2006) and two shorts, the drama ‘Beach Story’ (2001), and experimental documentary, ‘Eat’ (1988), which all screened in national and international film festivals.
