Sam Weiss is an emerging Australian composer for film, television and media. Sam has composed music for film and television professionally since age 20, with several feature film, short film and television (ABC, SBS) composer credits spanning drama, comedy, documentary, thriller and animation. Sam has studied screen composition at UNSW (undergraduate) and AFTRS (Masters). Beyond screen composition, Sam was the 2020/21 Composer in Residence for the Sydney Children’s Choir, and is a saxophonist, conductor and musical director. Sam is an active member of the Australian Guild of Screen Composers, Music Arrangers’ Guild of Australia and the Australian Music Centre.
