Ben has a Bachelors Degree in Animation/VFX and ten years experience as a Senior Designer. He is also an accomplished artist specializing in commission-based oil portraiture and has had his artwork exhibited throughout Australia. As a filmmaker, Ben directed the documentary ‘Callings’ in China and was a finalist in the inaugural AACTA Pitch Competition. His films have been screened at the LA Shorts, Revelation Perth International, WA Made and Sydney Underground Film Festivals – with ‘Tea and Hot Flushes’ winning Best Picture and Best Actress at the GreenScreen Film Fest in 2020. Recently Ben had a pilot script ‘Emerald Way’ optioned by Perth production company, Factor 30 Films and his animated short ‘Never Alone’, was a finalist in the Epic Games Short Film Challenge. Ben is Ambassador of Emerging Filmmakers for the GreenScreen Film Fest. His role includes teaching workshops and providing support for visual effect based film production.
