The Screen Guide

Bunna Lawrie, along with two of his brothers, started out as a cover band playing small towns & Aboriginal missions across Australia. Legendary Aboriginal Rock band Coloured Stone was founded in 1977 by frontman Bunna Lawrie on the Kooniba Aboriginal Mission in South Australia. 1984 saw the band record their very first single and "Black Boy" instant success. This tune is arguably an Aboriginal Australian rock n roll anthem. This short film tells the true uncensored version of events as we tell the story of these proud, humble and one of a kind Aussie musicians.
