The Screen Guide

In 1973 a Greek-born naturalised Australian, John Baikas, left Sydney with his three-year-old daughter, Maris, bound for Athens. He left the country with a forged passport for Maris, thus removing her from the protection of an Australian court. The film is the story of the mother's (successful) attempt to be reunited with her child.
