The Screen Guide

An adaptation of the delightful Steele Rudd stories written at the turn of the century about the trials and tribulations of rural life, in particular those of the Rudd family. Dad Rudd moves his family out into the scrub to 'select' 150 acres of fly-blown land that would hardly grow a cabbage. Riley, his squatter neighbour, hates selectors and wants the Rudds' land. Riley is also the local MP. The Rudds make a go of it and Dad decides to stand for parliament. Dad wins! Dad Rudd MP, the farmers friend! The Aussie battlers always win through.
