The Screen Guide

In the early Eighties when the evolution of satellite came to Australia, it allowed remote communities to receive signals of many channels. As a way of reclaiming the knowledge and what their communities were seeing they created their own media organisations and channels that talked to the cultural messages of the community. We look at the shift in the craft of filmmaking and the new ways they are engaging audiences through comedy and animation.
