The Screen Guide

Walkley Award-winning journalist Alan Tate and science reporter Gavin Gilchrist analyse the state of the Australian environment in the 1990s. They travelled the country to prepare this startling look at Australia's future in the coming decade, examining the effect an increasing ocean level will have on a nation largely inhabited along coastal areas. They also look at major climatic changes such as the global warming 'greenhouse effect' and ozone layer depletion, and their implications for Australia's economic stability. Prominent Australian scientists and environmentalists put their views, and Senator John Button is also featured.
