The Screen Guide

Ernesto Sirolli, the subject of this episode, is an employment consultant with the Western Australian government. He is a practical philosopher who believes people should be encouraged to do the work they are happiest doing, and has worked minor economic miracles in some of WA's country towns. He maintains that people who are happy in their work are more in touch with their environment, and more productive, and the validity of his philosophy is seen in a shoe factory in Fremantle, which is run as a workers' co-operative.
