The Screen Guide

Heather Rose is severely disabled by cerebral palsy. She overcame what some might regard as insurmountable difficulties to initiate, co-write and play a lead role in the feature film 'Dance Me To My Song' directed by Rolf de Heer. This extraordinary documentary follows Heather's journey from a small house in an inner-city suburb of Adelaide, where she lives alone, to the red carpeted entrance of the Palais de Festival in Cannes where her film was invited to screen in competition at the 1998 Cannes International Film Festival.
