The Screen Guide

Set in the Nyitting Times (the icy cold times) when the Nyungar had no fire to cook his meat because the moon kept the fire for himself. This is the story of the Murray River region and of two birds - the sparrow hawk and the pigeon - and their quest to give the Nyungar the fire to stay warm and have cooked meat. The film explores this concept through the use of Nyungar art, dance, song and storytelling.
