The Screen Guide

The film tells the story of six months in the life of a private boys' school, and the girls who live next door. The King's School is Australia's oldest school, steeped in military tradition. Fifteen years ago the school appointed a reforming headmaster, John Wickham, who amongst other things invited girls from the adjacent school, Tara, to mount a musical each year. KING'S SCHOOL follows the lives of those selected for the prestigious musical, the retirement of the ever-popular John Wickham, and the inception of the new headmaster. This observational-style documentary is a follow up to Simon Target's series about students, UNI.
