The Screen Guide

It could have been one of our great cities, but instead Pine Creek is a graveyard of empty mineshafts haunted by the ghosts of a thousand Chinamen. The Chinese miners who pioneered the Northern Territory goldfields had good fortune in discovering gold, but bad luck in their treatment by rival miners. This program examines a little-known chapter of Australian history, to find out what happened to the Chinese miners of Pine Creek.
