The Screen Guide

'Once a Territorian, always a Territorian'. The words of Douglas Lockwood, the outback journalist who told the world about Australia's 'Top End' for over a quarter of a century, through books and countless stories. He was there for the Japanese attack on Darwin in 1942, and for the Petrov affair, and is well-known for his interpretations of Aboriginal emancipation in the far north. 'A Big Country' takes Douglas Lockwood back to the Territory after an absence of ten years.
