The Screen Guide

SKUD is a gritty, passionate film about a young woman boxer, Tasha, who is drawn to the edge of existence through her friendship with Matt, a homeless youth, who introduces her to the adrenalin and danger of trainsurfing. A contemporary story told in classic black and white social-realist style, SKUD draws on the stark industrial landscape of inner-urban Melbourne in its depiction of youth alienation. Out of this bleakness, two kindred spirits share their passions for boxing and trainsurfing and forge an unexpected friendship - that takes them both to the edge...
