The Screen Guide

As a young man, Jack Absalom was an apprentice at Port Augusta, and spent many of his holidays working the diggings on the opal fields at Andamooka and Coober Pedy, where battlers could at least be sure of 'starving with a chance'. In this program, he takes Bob Plasto to the present-day opal fields.
