The Screen Guide

This film explores the fascinating survival strategies of many marine creatures - camouflage, poisons, armour, spines and speed are all brought into play. Some species have found that a life in close association with an unrelated species can solve their survival problems. Survival on the Reef shows the spectacular mass spawning of coral on a spring night just after a full moon, and shows how the reef can recover from the damage caused by the cyclonic winds and waves of the summer season that annually threaten the reef and its community.
