The Screen Guide

THE FRIGHTENING OF ANGELS is a meticulously crafted video dance about suffering and pushing through despair. The dancers, huddled like refugees on the shores of the Tasman Peninsula, struggle to stretch out of their tightly constricted movement vocabulary to move expansively and freely. The backdrop of the Port Arthur Historic Site provides the cells and broken stones of misery and at the same time a transcendently gorgeous vista of hope. The soundtrack which alternated a rain of creativity which can come out of misery.
