The Screen Guide

Nearly 70 percent of the earth is covered by sea. It influences our weather, provides most of our oxygen and holds enormous resources. John Bunt introduces the many facets of marine science. Marine scientists Eric Wolanski and John Andrews are studying oceanography, since an understanding of the sea in motion is essential to other projects being undertaken by the Institute. The program shows the difficulties of studying the moving sea, even with today's computerised equipment.
