The Screen Guide

The discovery of human remains buried 26,000 years ago had a profound effect on Sydney businessman Peter Pigott, known as 'Uncle Pete' to the children who frequent his toyshop. Here was the origin of Australia's pre-European history and Uncle Pete decided to use his abilities as a businessman to further the causes of heritage and conservation. This program looks at Uncle Pete's search for civilised Aboriginal man 25,000 years ago.
