The Screen Guide

Aretha Briggs is a Yorda Yorda Yenbena (Aboriginal) woman who has started a Yorda Yorda language program at her son’s local school in the country town of Shepparton. Aretha returns to her mother’s home land country and shares with the audience her experience of growing up and reveals the strength of the Aboriginal woman in her family of handing down centuries old knowledge, stories, language and history to their future generations.
