South-East Asian focus event at MIPCOM 2011

Screen Australia will host a targeted matchmaking event for Australian and international delegates at MIPCOM 2011 in Cannes, France.

The event will focus on connecting Australian producers with commissioners, distributors and producers from Singapore and the neighbouring markets of Malaysia, Thailand and Korea where relevant. The strategic aim is to share information about doing business in the respective industries and forge potential co-production and co-financing partnerships.

Screen Australia will select 10 Australian producers working across a range of screen content genres who are planning to attend MIPCOM. Introductory meetings will be arranged on behalf of the Australians with carefully matched international delegates to further develop their projects and understanding of the South-East Asian territory.

The event will be hosted at the Screen Australia stand at MIPCOM 2011 on Tuesday 4 October 2011 from 9am to 11am.

Screen Australia is running the Australian matchmaking event in collaboration with Creatives Loop. Creatives Loop is an international media consultancy specialising in co-productions, helping film, television and digital media producers secure deals.

MIPCOM is the world’s leading content market for creating, co-producing, buying, selling, financing and distributing entertainment across all platforms. This year the market runs from 3–6 October 2011.
