Maria Albiñana is a trilingual Spanish actress, director and writer from Valencia, Spain. She has a theater background and has developed her career into TV and film, where she is recognized for playing strong, deep emotional characters. She completed her MA Classical Ballet Degree and trained with the Joven Compañía de Alicia Alonso, among others. Soon after that she also completed her MA Acting Degree and Journalism Degree and continued training as an actress at Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts (London), Actors Studio (LA), Actors Gang (LA) etc. In 2004, she won Best Actress in Comedy at LA Webfest with her lead role in the Spanish TV series ‘Sin Vida Propia’, and has been twice nominated as Best Supporting Actress (New Jersey Webfest and Roma Web Awards) for her role as the presidents wife in ‘We All Wanted to Kill the President’, released on Amazon Prime Spain in 2018. As well as writing and directing, she co-founded and directs the web series section at Valencia International Film Festival.
