Having lived in Australia, China and the United States, Renée Mao is a writer and director who brings a unique global perspective and visual power to her narrative driven stories. Renée’s short films have been featured in the Huffington Post, The Hammer Museum, and have been awarded with Vimeo Staff Picks. Renée’s short film, ‘The Making of Panthera’, investigates the strength and courage of a talented drag performer and the film has been featured in the Palm Springs LGBTQ Film Festival and has been a Webby Award Honoree.
