Robert Alcock

Robert Alcock is a filmmaker based in Tasmainia. His work includes short films, drama features and television documentaries, including 1993’s experimental arthouse film, ‘You Can’t Push The River’ which screened at Mannheim, Dublin & Brisbane. He has worked with Mentor Mike Rubbo (Waiting For Fidel) trained with Ulla Ryghe (Ingmar Bergmans editor on ‘Persona’) and participated in workshops with Mike Leigh (Secrets & Lies). He worked as a tutor-hands-on instructor in BA Art & Communications media courses at Newcastle University (1995-1999) and as Director of OPEN CITY - a low-budget festival with guest US Producer Roger Corman (1997-98).
