The station was bordering on bankruptcy when Ted Senior's only son inherited it. Ted Junior had watched and worked on the property for 40 years as his father and grandfather had steadfastly stuck to traditions and methods better suited to days long gone. He was determined not to make the same mistakes and was equally determined to save the property, through sheer hard work and dogged persistence.
