The Screen Guide

A tiger from Germany, Polar Bear cubs from Quebec and the well publicised pandas from China. We see the highs and lows of the huge team working for the safe travel of an endangered animal. The process is long, expensive, risky and delicate. These acquisitions take years of planning and preparation but the patience is rewarded with successful breeding and the arrival of cubs. Raja is a tiger from Germany that came to Seaworld in 2005. He has successfully bred twice and has produced 5 cubs with two females. This is a major boost to a species that has rapidly diminishing numbers in the wild. The underlying passion of the people involved is a desperate fight for the long term survival of some of our most endangered animals.
