The Screen Guide

THE ORPHAN BOY is a traditional dreamtime story of a young boy who awakens the Rainbow Serpent when he is unable to get his favourite bush food, Water Lily Root. This story belongs to the Kunwinjku People of Kabarri in western Arnhem Land, Australia. The production was created by students living in Gunbalanya, working with elders from their community and animators from Gozer Media. THE ORPHAN BOY is presented in both English and the local language, Kunwinjku.
