Spring, 1995. Australian teenager Samantha and her older brother Marius arrive in Greystanes, New South Wales, to visit their Maltese immigrant grandparents - their loving Nannu and Nanna - for the holidays. Meanwhile, the Gadajdu, a slimy, humanoid predator from Maltese folklore, emerges at night from the abandoned Greystanes Aqueduct, perpetrating an unholy mission. Soon the worlds of reality and the supernatural collide, and Samantha and Marius find themselves embroiled in a mystery - which, they discover, is born out of a curse festering within their own ancestral history… and has now reached its horrific endgame.
